Evidence-Based Medicine the Gold Standard for Clinical Decision-Making

There is a growing trend among clinicians and policy makers to base their health care decision making on a formulized system of evaluating scientific studies. Proposed as the emerging gold standard for clinical decision-making, evidence-based medicine (EBM) can be defined as the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in developing optimal individualized care pathways. At the core of this process is the gathering of evidence, a primary role of the ABJHI.
