B&J HEALTH TOPICS - TREATMENT

One in three Albertans requires care for bone and joint problems every year.

The demand will increase as our population ages.  Alberta’s 55-and-older population is projected to increase 70% by 2020, and almost 125% by 2033.

Unfortunately, most people pay little regard to the bones, joints, muscles and tendons that, together, make up the structure and form of the body.  They are largely ignored until our movement is restricted, we experience pain, or we can no longer do the activities we value and enjoy.

There are many ways to treat bone and joint problems, ranging from exercise, to physiotherapy, medications and surgery.
