Dr. Tom Noseworthy, the 2017 Cy Frank Legacy Lectureship distinguished speaker, will deliver the second of three lectures on Friday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at the University of Alberta with a webcast to the University of Calgary. Dr. Noseworthy’s lecture is entitled “Innovation in Healthcare: Lines of Sight to Policy and Practice.”

The last of the three lectures will be given in Vancouver on Friday, Oct. 20 at the University of British Columbia Centre for Health Services and Policy Research, Vancouver General Hospital Eye Care Centre (100LT), 2550 Willow St. It begins at 2 p.m.
The Cy Frank Legacy Lectureship is a travelling lectureship organized by the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health (MIBJH). It honours and commemorates Dr. Cy Frank whose life was dedicated to allowing research to flourish and medical practice to progress. Dr. Frank was instrumental in founding Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute and the McCaig Institute. His many contributions to bone and joint health care as a leading orthopaedic surgeon, world-renowned researcher, teacher and tireless advocate for change have had a profoundly positive impact on the lives of Canadians.
