Liz Evens has been appointed Project Director responsible for oversight of all project activities at Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute, effective immediately. She reports directly to Christopher Smith, ABJHI’s Chief Operating Officer.
As Project Director, Liz is responsible for end-to-end management of all project deliverables. She leads the project management team in setting objectives related to project deliverables and ensures stakeholders are engaged effectively. In addition, Liz works with the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network (BJH SCN) to develop strategies for ensuring the projects ABJHI manages on its behalf remain aligned with its vision, and coordinates joint efforts with the BJH SCN to inform stakeholders of key project developments.
Liz also continues in her role as Project Manager for Fragility and Stability, a project ABJHI is coordinating for the BJH SCN. Fragility and Stability is a highly successful multi-faceted province-wide effort to introduce evidence-based improvements in care for hip fracture patients while significantly reducing the rate of these devastating fractures. She has thorough knowledge of the other major projects ABJHI is coordinating for the BJH SCN, having worked on different aspects of them since joining ABJHI in 2010.
