Holly Cole, winner of the 15th Ella Fitzgerald Award, stars in ENCORE 2015
Music in Motion returns on October 6 with ENCORE – an evening of stylistically diverse and emotionally stirring music, paired with the grace and sophistication of the ballet. ENCORE stars Holly Cole, Canada’s pre-eminent interpretative singer with the smoky contralto voice and adventurous repertoire spanning jazz, pop and country, and features the Alberta Ballet with Artistic Director Jean Grand-Maître and other special guests. Canadian jazz legend Tommy Banks returns as emcee.
ENCORE will raise funds to support innovative research and improve treatment for Albertans with bone and joint diseases, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This one-of-a-kind performance brings Holly Cole and the Alberta Ballet together on the stage
for the first time!
