The McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health will host the movie “Hip Hop-eration”, on March 16 at 6:30 p.m. at The Globe Cinema in Calgary. Admission and popcorn are free.
Hip Hop-eration follows three ninety-somethings – Maynie, Kara, and Terri – on their life-changing journey to the world hip-hop championships in Las Vegas where they join 24 other nonagenarians who shed their wheelchairs and walking sticks and push their artificial joints to the limit as they compete.
In addition to the movie, McCaig Institute Director Steven Boyd and Associate Director (Clinical Research) Kevin Hildebrand will speak about the importance of staying active in the senior years for optimal bone and joint health.
The event is part of the Cumming School of Medicine’s “Science in the Cinema” series.
