Shoulder Assessment
In partnership with the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network (BJH SCN) and healthcare professionals who assess and treat shoulder conditions, ABJHI is conducting an analysis of shoulder assessment processes in Alberta to gather evidence for a clinical pathway for shoulder pain assessment.
As part of the BJH SCN strategic plan for transforming musculoskeletal care across the province, development and evaluation of more preventative care measures benefits both patients and the health care system. Proper assessment and treatment of joint pain and injuries not only restore patients' function and quality of life and reduce the chance of re-injury, but act as preventative measures for the development of more debilitating and painful musculoskeletal conditions, such as osteoarthritis.
